Minerva BHR participated in the “Global Supply Chains: Sustainability, Compliance and Competitiveness”workshop held on 28 June 2024 at TÜSİAD Headquarters in Istanbul. The event was organized with the participation of members of TÜSİAD’s New Generation Industry Working Group and Global Supply Chains Working Group, as well as supply chain executives from various sectors, and was facilitated by Ernst & Young (EY).
The workshop focused on the implications of the European Union’s new sustainability and due diligence legislations (CSDDD, CSRD, EUDR, LkSG) for Turkish businesses. Participants discussed key challenges faced by exporters in their supply chains, the impact of green and digital transition policies, and potential solutions to strengthen competitiveness and resilience.
At the event, Minerva delivered a presentation on “Human Rights Due Diligence (HREDD) Regulations”, highlighting the European Union’s evolving approach to human rights and environmental responsibility within supply chains. Our contribution emphasized how Turkish companies can align with these frameworks and integrate responsible business practices into their operations. We also shared policy recommendations to promote human rights–respectful, fair and sustainable business models in Türkiye.
The outcomes of the workshop were compiled in the TÜSİAD Global Supply Chain Workshop Report (April 2025), to which Minerva contributed as a content partner. In the report, we shared recommendations on HREDD implementation, stakeholder engagement, risk analysis, and grievance mechanisms, aiming to strengthen the capacity of Turkish enterprises to comply with the EU’s new sustainability agenda.
